European Laryngological Live Surgery Broadcast is a significant event in laryngology which happens in November once a year. It is free broadcast of laryngological surgeries performed by the best of the best. In 2018, this event is held for the fourth time. In one day you will be able to watch open, laser and robotic surgeries on the larynx, accompanied by experts descriptions and discussions.

On November 28, 2018, you have a chance to visit eleven European surgery rooms and see twenty surgeries performed by the best otorhinolaryngologists in the world.
Roberto Puxeddu will perform two transoral laser surgeries to excise laryngeal cancer tumors, one of which will be with simultaneous augmentation.

Transoral left sided cordectomy of III type +/- anterior commissure +/- augmentation of the vocal folds by fatty tissues.


SEX: female
AGE: 77 years
OCCUPATION: pensioner

ANAMNESIS: non smoker, doesn't drink alcohol. Progressive hoarseness for 1 year, accompanied by a constant feeling of irritation in the throat. Fibrolaryngoscopy revealed vegetative tumor in the middle and anterior third of the left vocal fold without impairment of mobility of the vocal folds. Neck is without pathological findings.

GRBAS score showed the following results: 3, 3, 3, 1, 1, 3.

The patient underwent intraoperative examination and incisional biopsy, the results of which revealed squamous cell carcinoma.

Diagnosis: squamous cell carcinoma G2 of the left vocal fold сТ1N0M0.

Transoral left sided cordectomy of II / III type with the use of CO2 laser +/- augmentation of the vocal folds by fatty tissues.

AGE: 60 years
OCCUPATION: farmer

ANAMNESIS: smoker for 30 years, moderate alcohol consumption. Progressive hoarseness for 4 months without other symptoms. Fibrolaryngoscopy revealed vegetative tumor of the left vocal fold with a slight impairment of mobility of the vocal folds.

Intravenous contrast computed tomography of the neck and chest organs did not show any formations, regional and thoracic metastases.

GRBAS score showed the following results: 3, 2, 1, 3, 1, 1.

The patient underwent intraoperative examination and incisional biopsy, the results of which revealed squamous cell carcinoma.
